When to go where? India is a continent of climates. Here's a quick guide. October–March (Winter). The classic season for the Golden Triangle, Rajasthan, Kerala and most of India — clear skies and pleasant days. (March–October) The best window for Kashmir, and May–September for high-altitude Ladakh. Summer (April–June). Escape to the Himalayan hill stations — Shimla, Manali, Darjeeling and Ooty.
